Light and Shade
The Sossusvlei sand dunes are among the largest sand dunes in the world. They span several hundreds miles, up to the west coast of Namibia. The sharp edges of the dunes create strong colours and shapes. The dunes change their shapes and colour with changing daylight, creating a fascinating landscape that is fluid and awe-inspiring at the same time. In this portfolio, I have focused on the interesting shapes, contrasts in colour and texture seen in the sand dunes. The photographs were taken at different times of the day and from different angles, including ground level as well as aerial views from a helicopter to capture the iconic landscape of Namibia.
