Autumn (fall) is poetic and romantic with deciduous trees changing colour and the grass becoming emerald green. It is wonderful to stroll along the paths covered in golden carpets of leaves and hearing the songs birds singing in the trees.  Autumn is brilliant with yellow leafy roads sparkling with yellow sunshine.
"Autumn is the sad season, but once there’s a true sadness within you, autumn will sing it soft and slow in your heart. It’s because of the turning. In that last blaze of red, in the biting air and the slow drift and fall of leaves, you see the slight farewell that life is always repeating. You know you can’t hold it still. You watch it go."
How to make a bird, Martine Murray, 2003
"The falling leaves drift by my window - The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses - The sunburned hands I used to hold"
